Our History
Eugene Birch started his practice in Muir Street, Southernwood, shortly after the dawn of South African democracy, 1994. He began this journey with one filing cabinet, two files and no staff.

Twenty-seven years on, Birch Chartered Accountant Inc. has developed from its humble beginnings into a reputable and trusted firm of professionals serving its diverse client base.
Eugene Birch
Eugene Birch is the managing director of Birch Chartered Accountants Inc. He completed his academic qualifications in 1991, comprising a Bachelors and Honours in Accounting Science, as well as a Certificate in the Theory of Accountancy. Subsequently, Eugene completed the board examinations to qualify as a Chartered Accountant (SA). Eugene initially gained experience as a financial manager before starting his own business and qualifying as a Registered Auditor in 1994.
Eugene is a registered Chartered Accountant (SA) with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and a Registered Auditor with the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA). Additionally, he is a Tax Practitioner registered with the South African Revenue Services (SARS), a Registered Training Officer with SAICA and IRBA, and a Business Advisor.
